Website redesign services

Rebuild the site. Keep the rankings. Start getting leads.

Over the Fold redesigns websites for service businesses in Northern NJ and NYC. We rebuild slow, outdated sites into fast, custom-coded ones that convert, with every ranking URL carried over so Google does not forget you.

Website redesign at Over the Fold
The honest version

A redesign is only worth it if the new site does a job the old one could not.

Most redesigns fail for one of two reasons: the new site is prettier but says the same vague things, or it launches without redirects and loses the rankings the old site had. We plan the redesign around the leads it is supposed to produce, keep every URL that earns traffic, and measure the result against the old site's numbers.

Signs it is time

Six things we see on sites that need to be rebuilt.

Slow on a phone

Over three seconds to load. Half your visitors leave before they see the headline.

No clear next step

No phone number above the fold, no booking, a contact form buried three clicks deep.

Invisible on Google

No page for the services or towns people search. One "Services" page trying to rank for everything.

Plugins and patches

A WordPress site with 30 plugins, two of them abandoned, and a hosting bill for the privilege.

Looks smaller than you are

Stock photos and 2019 copy while your competitors show real work and real reviews.

Unreadable to AI

No structured data, no answer-first content, so ChatGPT and Google AI cannot cite you.

How we redesign

Rankings protected at every step.

01

Audit and baseline

Speed, rankings, traffic and conversions recorded so we can prove the difference.

02

Message and structure

What each page has to make a visitor do, and which pages the search data says you are missing.

03

Design and build

Custom-coded HTML, built for speed, with your real photos, reviews and work.

04

Migration and redirects

Every old URL mapped to its new home. Titles and content that rank are carried over, not rewritten for fun.

05

Launch and resubmit

Sitemap, Search Console, analytics and Google Business Profile updated the same day.

06

Measure

Speed, rankings and leads compared to the baseline at 30 and 90 days.

Before and after

FAQ

Website redesign questions

How much does a website redesign cost?

A redesign is priced as a one-time project and costs less as part of The BOLD System. Every package, including e-commerce, is published on our pricing page.

How long does a website redesign take?

Most redesigns launch in 3 to 6 weeks. The pace depends on how quickly content and approvals come back; we handle the rest.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

Not if it is done properly. We keep every URL that ranks, redirect the ones that change, carry over titles and content that work, and resubmit the site the day it launches. Done carelessly, a redesign can wipe out years of rankings, which is the main reason to have it done by people who do SEO.

Do you rebuild sites on WordPress, Wix or Squarespace?

We rebuild from them. Most of our redesigns move a slow WordPress, Wix or Squarespace site to a custom-coded HTML site you own outright. We still build on WordPress or Shopify when a client needs that platform.

How do I know if my website needs a redesign?

Three signs: it loads in more than three seconds on a phone, you cannot say what it is supposed to make a visitor do, and it has not brought you a lead you can name in the last 90 days. The free audit checks all three.

Can I update the site myself after the redesign?

Yes. Every site ships with a simple editor for the things that change: photos, reviews, portfolio, hours. No plugins to update, nothing to break.
